Hi, I am encountering startup repair at windows When I run it, it always said 'your pc has run into a problem and needs to restart. We will restart it for you'. What is this issue? I keep encountering unable to download updates especially those language update on my laptop. Previously upgrade from 8. When I run windows update troubleshooter, it said service registration is missing or corrupted and what should I do now?

Please check the following methods and check if it helps,. I would suggest you to check if you are able to access Windows Update services and also make sure that the following services are started.
If it is not started follow the below mentioned steps:. Locate Windows Update service. Right click on the Windows Update service and select Properties. In Start-up type , select Enable.
Click Start under Service status. Repeat the steps c to f for the following services also:. If these steps do not help to resolve the issue, then you may proceed with the step mentioned below and check.
Step by step instructions to get the issue fixed. Now, try to install Windows Updates again and check if it helps. Disable Anti-virus software the issue may also arise due to the security software installed in your system.

Upon checking windows update troubleshooter, it still said service registration is corrupted or missing. Running the repair, again same thing, will tell me that my pc needs to shut down. In fact, i have already done another windows update as instructed by some others, problem still persist. I cannot update, cannot repair, cannot reset : who can help me?
I have even downloaded tweaking. Repair reparse points, environmental variables etc. Chkdsk, scan sfc etc. Non help. Can Microsoft do something about it? When getting updates time there is always error like 0x when downloaded additional feature for language.
